Services: Contrast Therapy (Infrared Sauna + Cold Plunge)

We recommend about 10 minutes in the sauna, 30 sec-1 min in the plunge, and repeat but you may toggle between the sauna and cold plunge as much as you would like during your session. For maximum benefits, in 1 hour we recommend 3-4 cycles, increasing the cold plunge timing each time.

Our full spectrum infrared saunas reach a temperature of 70-80C. Our cold plunges are kept at a temperature ranging between 3-8C.

Anyone with open sores, pregnant, or with a pacemaker should not do this treatment. If you are unsure, please consult with your doctor.

Infrared Saunas

Red Light Therapy uses panels that stimulate cells to promote healing and rejuvenation in hair, skin and body.

Infrared Saunas use heat to penetrate tissues, increase circulation, and promote sweating.

Overall, Red Light Therapy is best for skin and pain relief, while Infrared Saunas are ideal for detox and relaxation. Stacking both offers a full range of health benefits.

We recommend wearing as little clothing as possible! A swimsuit would be best, or lightweight clothing as an alternative.

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Hydration is one of the most important things before, during, and after each sauna session. Electrolytes are a plus! Going into your sauna as hydrated as possible will maximize the comfort and benefits of your sauna experience and keep you safe.

Avoid large, heavy meals before your session. Remove all makeup prior and avoid putting any products on your skin before arriving as well. During your session you will be sweating and releasing toxins a lot, and products on the skin can interfere with the detox process.

We provide you with one towel per person in each room and Aesop bath products. The most important thing we recommend is bringing water with you. At BEIT SISU, a staff member will refill your water bottle if you need. If you would like, you are welcome to bring your own toiletries, robe, extra towels, and slippers. You may also bring a book or magazine to keep yourself entertained, or you may watch Netflix or connect your phone to our Bluetooth!

You have just flushed out a lot of toxins so be sure to replenish and rehydrate. At Beit Sisu we provide complimentary filtered water, just bring along your own drinking device.

Absolutely! Enjoying a sauna session with a friend is a great way to catch up. Our saunas can fit up to two people. An additional guest fee of AED40+ per person per session charge applies if you bring a friend along.

Yes! We default set each of our saunas to the maximum temperature throughout the day. However, if you do not tolerate heat well, or need the sauna temperature to be lowered, ask a staff member for assistance! We can also set a note in your account stating that you prefer a lower temperature. The great thing about infrared saunas is that you will enjoy the benefits at any temperature.

Yes, all of our sauna suites are completely private and equip with an ice bath. The room you book into will be allocated to you for the entire time of your booking (30 mins or 1 hr sessions). All of our rooms have their own shower facilities which means you can finish your sauna session with a shower in the comfort of your own private space.

We take cleanliness very seriously and ensure that each sauna suite is fully cleaned in between sessions with non-toxic cleaning supplies. Additionally, infrared heat kills 99% of bacteria, creating an inherently sterile environment.

Cold Plunges

All members must wear swimsuits.

You only need to bring/wear your swimsuit.

When doing your first cold plunge – and you have any pre-existing conditions – please consult your doctor professional prior.

We are often asked how long should I stay in the first time? There is no right or wrong answer here. On average, three minutes is a good marker to reap the full benefits, but there are no heroes here. Many people can only do 30 seconds the first time around – and that is AMAZING! It’s like any health modality, you will create endurance the more you do.

Yes, our cold plunge room is 100% private. The room will be allocated to you for the entire time of your booking. Each room contains a private shower too.

Before, yes. After, it’s up to you.

Shower before to cleanse and wash off any make up or sweat, then shower afterwards to warm up again.

We advise not to use too hot a shower after, best to use room temperature water and gradually warm things up from there to avoid any damage, tingling or pain to the skin. Or, save your shower for when you get home. That way, your body naturally warms back up, which comes with additional health benefits.

The sooner you get in a cold plunge after a cardio workout, the better the effects should be.

If afte a gym session, best if you wait more than an hour after the workout, some of the healing and inflammatory processes in the body have already begun or have already finished and you won’t effect that healthy inflammation gained from weight lifting.

If you take your cold plunge in the morning, it will give you a great natural high for the day. It helps release serotonin in the body too which supports reduction of stress and depression.

Night time sessions are beneficial after a cardio training session, and will do wonders for your quality of sleep too.

Shivering is normal in terms of reaction to heat extraction.

Shivering also stimulates the breakdown of brown fat to provide warmth to the body and has been said to stimulate additional fat loss. For us though, it’s usually a sign to jump out as you can also continue to shiver even after you get out. And if you do, we often get asked, “what should I do?”. The answer is… nothing.

Let your body naturally warm back up, that’s best. Or, if you really want to, you can do some light squats or arm raises to bring some warmth back in.

Cold plunge room bookings are 15 mins or 30 mins slots, which gives you time before and after your plunge to quickly shower and dress.

Importantly please note:
Showering BEFORE your cold plunge session is compulsory and we kindly request that you utilise the towel provided for this.

Yes, you can bring a friend! Our cold plunge room contains a one-person barrel so you can swap*. You will be charged an additional AED40+ per extra person per session, for them to join you.
*Bringing a friend is only available for 30 mins ice bath sessions

Our cold plunge’s primary disinfectant process is ozone, which is injected into the water during the filtration process 24/7. When dissolved in water, ozone produces a broad spectrum biocide that destroys all bacteria, viruses, and fungi. As an oxidizing agent it is 51% stronger than chlorine, and works over 3x as fast. We also treat the water daily with spa grade non-toxic sanitizers that keeps our water clean and pure so you can safely enjoy your dip in the cold.
